Internet hate phenomena are becoming a daily occurrence. How can we recognise them? How can we deal with them? Presenting the “happy dispute” model to create a new way of looking at online communications, teaching the ability to agree to disagree. This event is a workshop led by two instructors to describe online hate from a socio-linguistic point of view (by Vera Gheno) and implement a series of linguistic and communicative strategies to counter it (by Bruno Mastroianni). In the first part we will map out the reasons and manifestations of hate phenomena on the Internet, before presenting a “virtuous communication” model in the second part, called #disputafelice.
