Next Generation: Internet and digital rights

The event presents the technological development trends of the Internet over the next 5-10 years, illustrating the new possibilities of fast and super-fast connection, the development of services for citizens, and interaction between citizens, businesses and public authorities. We will also analyse the issues of security and confidentiality, in addition to the impact that new technology can have on society. The event is addressed to citizens and public authorities responsible for governing these processes. The goal is to analyse, along the lines of the EU’s NGI initiatives, the issues of digital rights in terms of connectivity, the use of the services and the conscious use of the internet, confidentiality and privacy, also from the perspective of the initiatives that some public authorities are implementing.
