The growing YouTuber phenomenon introduces a few questions: what is it that makes users feel so attached to these content creators? What emotions are involved in particular? Are YouTubers stars, web celebrities, or something entirely different, which doesn’t fit into traditional categories? The meeting will offer some thoughts on these and other questions, starting from the specific case of YouTubers dedicated to “gaming”, a particularly popular category on YouTube’s platform.
