Lucie works as a policy analyst in the Brussels office of Access Now – an international NGO dedicated to defending and extending the digital rights of users at risk around the world. She has previously worked as an editor for several regional publications as well as a translator for government agencies and as a political intern at the Czech Embassy to Ottawa. At Access Now she covers unfolding European legislation such as the European cyber security strategy and several areas under the Digital Single Market. Her key focus is on export controls and surveillance trade, cyber security, data retention, encryption, and Net Neutrality.
