ITACA is a European cooperation initiative sponsored by the Società della Salute di Pisa, promoting disabled accessibility in tourism. The project, funded by the Italy-Maritime France Interreg Program, aims to create an accessible tourism brand for the area of the upper Tyrrhenian Sea. At the heart of the project is a model for the promotion of tourism that respects the identity and wealth of natural places and the individual’s right to be able to enjoy them, even with reduced abilities. The day will be structured into a series of meetings and discussions with stakeholders (from users and tourist operators to digital tourism players), discovering each other’s needs, the potential advantages and the best ways to make the brand ITACA usable and functional.
