How is copyright protected on the internet? Is current legislation suitable for the digital world?
The public space of the internet, with its myriad of opposing rights and heterogeneous stakeholders, is capable of using the principle of sharing to make it easy to use contents and render them global; at the same time, it has become difficult to control and limit the circulation of works and to protect intellectual property. The opening conference aims to give an overview of the current situation, outlining the strong points and problems of copyright protection in today’s digital world.
